| How is the Vogel Alcove funded? |
The Alcove receives funding from foundations, corporations, community organizations, government grants, private individual donations, and through proceeds from the annual Vogel Alcove Arts Performance Event. |

| Is the Vogel Alcove a faith-based organization? |
No, the Vogel Alcove is a non-religious, non-sectarian organization that serves families that meet the eligibility criteria regardless of religion, race, or gender. However, the Alcove was started by the Jewish community to help alleviate homelessness in Dallas. |
| What services are provided at the Vogel Alcove? |
The following services are provided for free to the families and their referring agency:
| Free quality childcare and educational enrichment activities
Screening for developmental delays
Play, speech, physical, and occupational therapies
Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack
Baby formula, diapers, wipes, and other childcare supplies
Clothes and childcare supplies provided free of charge to Alcove families
Adult therapy, family counseling, and parenting classes
Access to Parkland Hospital’s HOMES Van for healthcare
Access to a host of community resources through collaborating agencies |

| What are the hours of operation? |
The Vogel Alcove operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. |
| How do I apply for services? |
Families are referred to the Vogel Alcove by their shelter case manager. Walk-ins are not accepted and are referred to a shelter to obtain housing first. |
| Who is eligible to be served at the Vogel Alcove? |
Homeless families with young children six weeks to six years old, living in homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters, and transitional housing programs that are affiliated with the Alcove can receive our services. |

The Vogel Alcove is a non-profit 501(c)(3) agency that provides free childcare, developmental services, and social services to eligible homeless families. |
