Vogel Alcove’s Annual Fall Clothing Store

On Friday, October 19th, Vogel Alcove held it’s Annual, FREE,Fall Store for its families. This opportunity offered 55 families, and over 150 children, an opportunity to receive seasonal essentials, such as; shirts, shorts, skirts, umbrellas and raincoats, toiletries, blankets, booster seats, pajamas, and a plethora of other items. While the children were undergoing a normal day of childcare, their parents were able to shop and obtain what’s needed for their daily lives. Thanks to the city of Dallas, our local community, and corporate partners, we were able to create a retail experience for our families, without the hassle of cost.

As a majority of these items may seem minuscule to the average person, these necessities are extremely important to a single, unemployed mother, with 3 children, who is experiencing homelessness. Without the support of Vogel Alcove, these everyday household items may seem IMPOSSIBLE for our families to obtain; especially if without a steady income or a home to call their own.

Thanks to our donors, Vogel Alcove is able to provide a quarterly store that allows our families to receive seasonal items for FREE; Spring & Summer, Back 2 School, Fall & Winter, and the Holiday Store in December. With the financial and in-kind contributions of our community, we can continually build upon our quarterly store and make it bigger and better!
