This tons-of-fun family fair is designed for children and families to celebrate New Year’s Day together. It features interactive children’s activities, crafts and games, musical performances, educational shows, rock climbing, bounce houses and slides, magic shows, Lego, and more! The event closes with a spectacular fireworks show.
This event benefits Vogel Alcove and our mission to help young children and their families overcome the lasting and traumatic effects of homelessness.
There are over 3,000 homeless children in Dallas; that number is growing. Vogel Alcove’s programs and services aim to break the cycle of poverty and end family homelessness.

In its eighth year of celebration, Day 1 DFW is an all-inclusive event, bringing families together on New Year’s Day. Hosted by Vogel Alcove at The Irving Convention Center, guests get access to family-friendly, fun-filled activities and performances all day long. The event ends with a spectacular fireworks show.
Sponsoring partners gain brand exposure to thousands in a desirable demographic group on New Year’s Day: families with young children and decision-making moms across the region.
All sponsor contributions benefit Vogel Alcove’s mission to serve homeless children and their families by providing specialized early childhood and school-age programs, family services, and social support.
