Happy Birthday Vogel Alcove!

This coming year we will celebrate the organization’s 35th year of serving young, homeless children and their families.

Vogel Alcove has grown from its humble beginnings of serving 15 children in 1987, to serving more than 17,000 children to date. Through it all, we have given each child what homelessness had taken from them: a new chance at success in life.

But our work is still not done. The statistics are sobering:

  • Families are the fastest growing segment of the homeless population, and account for almost 40-50% of the nation’s homeless.
  • Dallas has the highest homeless population in Texas. A large percentage of those are families.
  • More than 4,500 children in Dallas go to sleep each night without a roof over their heads.

The COVID-19 pandemic shed light on this hidden crisis. It revealed the severity of family homelessness in North Texas.

Homeless children are in trauma, and the clock is ticking.

Please remember our children and their families. Donate today to usher in another 35 years of serving the youngest victims of homelessness.

Without you, we could not support the over 17,000 children that have walked through the doors of Vogel Alcove.

Thank you for making our life-changing mission possible.
