VOGEL MAIN

Vogel Main is the heart of Vogel’s work in Dallas, providing comprehensive, trauma-informed services for young children and their families impacted by poverty, housing instability, and homelessness.

Serving as Vogel’s largest and most comprehensive campus, Vogel Main brings together early childhood education, health services, mental and behavioral health care, and family support in one integrated setting — allowing families to receive coordinated care under one roof.

MAIN

Early Childhood Education

Vogel Main offers therapeutic early childhood programming for children from infancy through pre-kindergarten, grounded in research-based curriculum and best practices for trauma-informed care. Children learn in safe, nurturing classrooms that support academic readiness, social-emotional development, and healthy brain growth.

Our highly qualified educators create structured, engaging environments where children can rebuild trust, develop confidence, and prepare for long-term success in school.

Health & Developmental Services

Vogel Main supports the physical and developmental well-being of every child through on-site health services, including:

  • Routine health screenings
  • Access to medical care
  • Daily nutritious meals and snacks
  • Rest and wellness support

Mental & Behavioral Health Support

Mental and behavioral health services are a core component of Vogel Main. Children and parents have access to:

  • Individual and group therapy
  • Play therapy
  • Developmental and behavioral consultations
  • Trauma-informed interventions that support emotional regulation and resilience

These services help children process trauma, strengthen coping skills, and build a healthy foundation for lifelong emotional well-being.

Family Support & Stability

At Vogel Main, we recognize that a child’s success is deeply connected to family stability. Our two-generation approach includes robust family support services designed to help parents move from crisis toward self-sufficiency.

Families receive:

  • 1:1 case management
  • Housing support and resource navigation
  • Employment and education assistance
  • Parenting education and coaching
  • Access to essential resources such as diapers, clothing, and household items

By supporting parents alongside their children, Vogel Main helps families build stability, confidence, and long-term independence.

A Community of Care

Vogel Main is more than a service location — it is a community built on trust, consistency, and partnership. Through coordinated programs and a culture of excellence, families receive the support they need to heal, grow, and move forward together.

VOGEL REDBIRD

Vogel RedBird provides trauma-informed early childhood programming for children from infancy through pre-kindergarten, with a strong focus on academic growth, social-emotional development, and family stability.

Our curriculum is grounded in Frog Street and Conscious Discipline, aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework. Through developmentally appropriate instruction, children build foundational skills while learning in a safe, nurturing environment.

Age-Specific Learning Environments

  • Infants (6 weeks–18 months):
A calm, nurturing space that supports early developmental milestones, with dedicated caregivers providing individualized attention and care.
  • Toddlers (18 months–2 years):
Active, play-based learning that encourages curiosity, motor skill development, and early cognitive growth.
  • Three-Year-Olds:
Hands-on learning with a focus on literacy, language development, and social skills, helping children build confidence and classroom readiness.
  • Pre-Kindergarten (4–5 years):
Structured learning in literacy, math, and social-emotional development that prepares children for kindergarten while honoring individual learning styles and needs.

Whole-Child, Whole-Family Support

Beyond the classroom, Vogel RedBird offers enriching activities that promote creativity and physical well-being. Teachers support individualized learning, allowing each child to explore, engage, and grow at their own pace.

Family engagement is a core part of our approach. We host monthly family activities and provide access to on-site play therapy, developmental services, family support services, and parenting classes. By supporting parents alongside children, we help strengthen the entire family system.

Small Class Sizes & Safety

We intentionally maintain small class sizes to foster engagement, individualized instruction, and personal growth. Safety is a top priority. Families stay connected through the Procare app, and our facility features restricted-access entryways and security cameras to ensure a secure learning environment.

Vogel RedBird is designed to be a welcoming, supportive space where children and families can build strong foundations for lifelong success.

In partnership with Family Gateway

Vogel North operates in partnership with Family Gateway and provides comprehensive, trauma-informed services on site at the family shelter, supporting children, teens, and parents during a critical period of transition and stabilization.

By embedding our programs directly within the shelter environment, Vogel North ensures families have immediate access to childcare, mental health support, and family services while parents work toward employment, housing, and long-term stability.

Children receive access to:

  • Trauma-informed childcare

  • Play therapy
  • Speech therapy
  • Occupational therapy (OT)

Our team also works closely with local school districts (ISDs) to coordinate referrals and support smooth transitions into school environments.

After-School & Youth Programming

For school-age children, Vogel North offers after-school care that provides a safe, structured space for learning, connection, and emotional support beyond the school day.

Teen programming is offered three days per week and is designed to support adolescents navigating complex challenges. Through facilitated discussions and activities, teens:

  • Learn to manage big emotions
  • Receive support with job applications and résumés
  • Participate in teen-focused discussions and social activities
  • Have a positive, supervised environment that keeps them safe and engaged

These programs offer teens a healthy outlet for self-expression while building confidence, life skills, and peer connections.

Family Academy & Engagement

Vogel North also hosts Saturday programming for the entire family through Family Academy. This program strengthens parent-child relationships by creating opportunities for shared learning, play, and meaningful connection.

Family Academy provides:

  • Structured family engagement activities
  • Social interaction with other families
  • Tools to help parents connect more deeply with their children
  • Additional emotional support during a time of transition

Summer & Enrichment Programming

During the summer months, Vogel North offers camp programming that provides children with a safe, enriching place while school is out. Children participate in:

  • Field trips
  • Enrichment activities
  • Creative and recreational experiences

We also partner with local community organizations to expand opportunities and expose children to new experiences beyond the shelter setting.
