Founded in 1987 in Dallas, Texas, Vogel is committed to breaking the cycle of poverty and homelessness. We open our hearts and doors every day to provide a safe haven and vital support for North Texas children and families facing the harsh realities of homelessness.
What is North Texas Giving Day?
North Texas Giving Day is the largest community-wide giving event in the nation. Held by the communities foundation of texas, this giving day is an 18-hour extravaganza, that empowers every person to support local nonprofits and causes they care about.

Vogel’s Mission and Services
Vogel’s mission is to help young children and their families prevent & overcome the lasting and traumatic effects of homelessness and poverty.
It is our vision that every child in our community has a home, a self-sufficient family, and a foundation for success in school and life. Our programming is culturally competent, holistic, and family-centered. A two-generation approach provides developmental interventions for children while helping parents establish a stable home environment.
We embrace the “two-generation” model to create lasting change, offering:
- Therapeutic Early Childhood Education
- Therapeutic School-Age Services
- Mental Health Programming
- On-Site Health Services
- Family Support Programming
Accredited Excellence
Vogel is proud to be among only 5% of early childcare centers nationwide accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
Exciting New Developments at Vogel
Vogel North Childcare Center
Opened in December 2023 inside the new Family Gateway North Shelter, serving over 100 young and school-age children.
Vogel Child and Family Center at “The Shops at RedBird”
Set to open in late 2024/early 2025, this new location will serve an additional 134 children in Southern Dallas.
