Jordan Neufeld, Vogel CFO

  • Joined Vogel in 2021

    CPA
  • Joins Vogel after working previously in roles as the Director of Finance, Baylor Scott & White Health Foundations Statewide and the CFO of Community Foundation.

What is your role at Vogel?

“As Chief Financial Officer, my role requires me to engage in all aspects of the business from fundraising to operations to ensure the organization’s financial health and success. I work with each one of our leaders to be both a thought partner as well as a strategic collaborator to increase productivity and success while minimizing expense and waste. I work with the operations, facilities, and programmatic teams to make sure their growth needs are incorporated into organizational planning and clearly communicated with our board. I also work closely with our fundraising team to navigate complex giving.

As a modern-day CFO, it is about more than just financial statements and bank reconciliations. I’m engaging in complex strategic growth conversations, and I’m helping the organization translate the vision into day-to-day action.”

Why do you choose to work for Vogel?

“The Mission– Vogel’s clearly defined, and intentionally focused… the mission is near and dear to my heart. For years before working at Vogel, my family and I put together homeless bags and delivered food to homeless individuals living on the street. We have also taken multiple mission trips overseas– caring for and educating orphaned children. It’s an incredible opportunity for me to pour my day-to-day efforts into an organizational mission that is directly aligned with my personal mission.”

What you hope to accomplish in your work?

“Growth. Vogel is not a static organization with its feet stuck in the mud, rather– its bold growth strategies position the nonprofit for large growth. This kind of growth is exciting and it helps my specific skillset be utilized in the highest and best capacity. I love thinking about new and exciting ways to serve more kids and how to do it best.”

Tell us a little about yourself and what you do when you’re not at Vogel:

“I have been married over 15 years to my sweetheart and we have 2 amazing children. I love serving in my church, traveling to see the world, and spending time in the great outdoors.”
